Abstract

In this paper closed-form expressions for the probablity density function (PDF) and cumulative distribution function (CDF) of the signal undergoing a short-term η-μ fading and co-channel interference have been derived. A single-relay dual-hop AF system is implemented. The results are applied to analysis of the system outage probability (Pout) which is considered in terms of the system parameters. Simulation results are presented graphically and analysed. Truncation error of the infinite series expansion for the outage probability is considered and the convergence of the expression discussed. Moreover, the derived expression is leveraged within GPU-enabled simulation environment for the Quality of Service (QoS) needed for optimal mobile network planning relying on linear optimization.
