Abstract

In this paper we consider a performance index balancing outage probability for the overall cooperative system performance. The two approaches are used to estimate and optimize the value of the performance index, and the cooperative formation control is applied to move the mobile agents to achieve the optimal outage probability solution by using only the locally-available information. Numerical analysis shows that the best achieved relays-destination distances and coverage area of the cooperative systems for a certain threshold on the outage probability.
