Abstract
This paper considers a multiuser downlink orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system. Simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) combined with radio frequency (RF) energy harvesting is applied at the users for coordinating downlink energy and information transmission. Specifically, the users harvest energy from the received downlink signals based on power splitting for satisfying a minimum required harvested energy. The problem of joint channel allocation, power allocation and power splitting ratio optimization is investigated to minimize the fraction of outage over all users. Simulation results are provided to compare our proposed algorithm with the benchmark algorithms. It is shown that the proposed algorithm achieves much better outage performance than the benchmark algorithms.
