Abstract

In this paper, the concept of physical layer network coding (PLNC) is applied in decode and forward (DF) protocol-based cognitive radio relay (CRR) system with two source nodes and two destination nodes to operate in multicast environment. DF relay node enables the two source nodes to send data to both the destination in two time slots compared to four time slots in conventional system. The performance of the proposed PLNC-based CRR system is analyzed in terms of outage probability in Nakagami-m fading channel environment for different configurations. The performance of the proposed system is compared with non-PLNC-based CRR system.
