Abstract

Since its emergence, the Nigerian movie industry “Nollywood”1 or “Naijawood” has had a profound influence on African and world cultures – through the transmission of the distinctly Nigerian accents, idiomatic expressions, style of dress, and behavioral idiosyncrasies as images worldwide.
