Abstract

Abstract: The connections between the Philippines and Turtle Island have deepened over the 500 years of colonization. Cross-Pacific voyages brought people from our islands to the Americas, and generations of mixed Indipinos have made contributions that go unrecognized. These personal family histories make a difference in our personal journeys as well as record how our communities thrived and continue to thrive. Indipinos Richard, Diane, Randy, and Sage Vendiola, as well as Jeannette Anglin, join moderator Holly Calica to address the interrelationship between Filipinos and tribal peoples in their areas. This look at the past and present is key for us to cocreate our future together!
