Abstract

This chapter reviews the various projects becoming like tributaries running into a base of community pride for Seneca Falls and its heritage. It talks about the Women's Hall of Fame, which created renewed interest in women of achievement and the Elizabeth Cady Stanton Foundation, which came into existence to raise the funds to purchase Stanton's house. The new Urban Cultural Park program had a mission of economic development in addition to preserving historical sites and promoting recreation. The chapter highlights the recognition of the Park Service of the story of the women's rights convention in Seneca Falls as nationally significant.
