Abstract
TRIPS in and out of business firms, in and out of the superintendent of nurses' office, around downtown to the newspaper offices, conferences with first one person and another, meetings nearly every night, and finally on October 15, 1941, the Parkland Press really became a newspaper. The first printed edition was published. About a year earlier, the student nurses at the Parkland Hospital School of Nursing, Dallas, Texas, decided that they needed some way to let other people know what was going on in the school. The brain child of some of the students resulted in the school newspaper. This was greeted with enthusiasm by all the students because it afforded a new idea for recreation.
