Abstract

This paper presents shadow filter configuration implemented using operational transresistance amplifier (OTRA). In shadow filters an external amplifier is added in the feed back loop of the basic filter and by controlling the gain of this amplifier the characteristics of the resulting filter can be tuned. Depending upon the value of A the filter characteristics can be varied from very low to very high values. Proposed shadow filters can be used for tuning of various parameters of LP, HP and BP filter functions. The functional verification is exhibited through SPICE simulations using 0.5µm CMOS technology model parameters.
