Abstract

A new species of curculionid beetle of the Otiorhynchus genus {Phalantorrhynchus Reitter, 1912) is described in the Dévoluy mountains (Hautes-Alpes, France). It is closely related to Otiorhynchus peyerimhoffi Hustache, 1920 from which it differs as its eyes are much smaller and far more globulous. Relevant external characters and the male and female genitalia are illustrated.
