Abstract

An operational transconductance amplifier (OTA) based wide-tunable-range voltage-controlled resistance converter circuit, where the magnitude of the converted resistance can be electronically varied, is proposed in this paper. The circuit is realized through the use of an active network, termed an ‘electronically tunable second-generation current conveyor’ (ECCII), which is a current conveyor with electronically variable properties. The realization scheme provides both a positive and a negative resistance and employs OTAs as the only active elements.
