Abstract

The Ypresian and Lutetian stages of eastern Saharian Atlas (Algeria) have yielded some fifty speciesof ostracods. At least seven are new, others are identical or very similar to species of the south tethyian province and/or the west african province. These new species are added to important species known for a long time in the neighbouring regions of Tunisia. This endemism is probably related to the specific environmental conditions of this area.
