Abstract

Today, miniatures are important historical documents besides art works. We can see the political, social and cultural features of the Ottoman Empire, the way of life and thinking in the miniatures of the manuscripts. In this study, the subjects and events discussed in Surname-i Vehbi Manuscript were applied to two and three dimensional animation techniques and the events of the festival were conveyed in a chronological order. Rehandling of traditional arts with digital tools and animation techniques with videoanimation techniques, which is not a spatial limitation in the study, holds a mirror about our own perception and perception to the contemporary world. For this purpose, the artistic style of the miniatures of the scenes and the manuscripts were preserved while their two-dimensional styling features were maintained. On the other hand, the project has been realized with the necessity of establishing a connection between the methods and practices in traditional art forms in Turkish Art and the new art forms emerging with the opportunities of technology
