Abstract
Accident insurance, as a voluntary form of insurance, is increasingly attracting the interest of potential policyholders. Undoubtedly, global trends contribute to this to a large extent, and thus also the fact that, in particular, people are increasingly exposed to numerous sudden risks, which can temporarily or permanently lead to the collapse of the existing quality and lifestyle. Available analyzes and future trends in the insurance market clearly lead to the conclusion that accident insurance, especially accident insurance resulting from the motor vehicles’ use, will record significant growth. In this regard, on the Montenegrin insurance market, all insurance companies in their portfolio offer this type of insurance. Analysis of the relevant reports leads to the conclusion that accident insurance takes a significant part, according to almost all parameters in the structure of total insurance. A survey conducted on the territory of Montenegro showed that accident insurance is present on the market both through collective and individual insurance. The fact that the collective insurance policy is more prevalent indicates the need for greater marketing moves by insurance companies in order to raise the awareness of the insured to a higher level and thus lead to a greater number of individual insurance policies being concluded. In the domain of the dynamics of claims settlement, it can be pointed out that there is a high degree of satisfaction with it, as well as that the satisfaction of the insured with this insurance product is, in general, at a fairly high level. The paper provided both a scientific and, perhaps more important, practical contribution, where very satisfied results can be achieved through a successful combination of scientific knowledge and practical experience.
