Abstract
In this work high-precision oscillation methods for the investigation into physico–chemical characteristics and processes of crystallization and melting are presented. Besides, the operation principle, the high-temperature experimental setup, the measurement method and some experimental results of many years’ complex investigation into viscosity and processes of crystallization—melting of different solutions and melts are described. It is shown that in one experiment more then 10 parameters and characteristic properties of the investigated system can be determined including viscosity, stable and metastable liquidus temperature, relative crystallization rate, etc. It has been found that the oscillation method surpasses the widespread method of differential thermal analysis with respect to accuracy and informativity.
