New oscillation and nonoscillation theorems are obtained for the second order quasilinear difference equation Δ ( | Δ x n − 1 | ρ − 1 Δ x n − 1 ) + p n | x n | ρ − 1 x n = 0 , where ρ > 0 is a constant and { p n } n = 1 ∞ is a real sequence with p n ⩾ 0 .
