Abstract

In this text I attempt to think over the matter concerning the settled rural worker's education, taking into account socio-cultural characteristics and educational necessities of the land claimant in the state of Sao Paulo; the socialeducative practices in progress in the rural settlement areas whose workers are organized by MST - Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais sem Terra (Landless Agricultural Workers Movement) in Ribeirao Preto region; and also the experience on the Pedagogic Course for the Land Use implementation, at UFSCar - Universidade Federal de Sao Carlos (Federal University of Sao Carlos), promoted by Pronera - Programa Nacional de Educacao da Reforma Agraria (National Program of Education in the Agrarian Reform).
