Abstract
Objective To report a rare case of orthotopic liver transplantation in a patients with agiant cavernous haemangioma of the liver. Methods The excised liver measured 40 cm× 30 cm× 30 cm in size and weighted 6.1 kg. The donor was a male patient of brain death. The heat ischemic time and cold inchemic time of liver in the donor were 3 min 30 s and 11 h respectively. Results The patient made an eventful recovery and the grafted liver had a good function. No complications occurred. Conclusion The therapeutic effects of orthotopic liver transplantation for treating giant cavernous haemangioma of liver were satisfactory.
