Abstract
In this paper we prove that 1 is a commutator in every irreducible commutator- finite orthomodular lattice in which the non-distinguished (#O, 1) commutators are totally unordered. An example is presented to illustrate the limitations inherent in attempting to improve this result. The commutator of two elements x and y of an orthomodular lattice
