Abstract

The linear form sum of two semiclassical regular linear forms verifies in general a second-order differential equation and we examine some situations where this new form remains semiclassical. The sequences of polynomials orthogonal with respect to this new form, called of second category, have associated polynomials which do not belong to the Laguerre-Hahn class.
