Abstract

We describe simple ways of parametrizing orthogonal and unitary matrices in any dimension. The methods generalize the Kobayashi-Maskawa and the Maiani parametrizations in three dimensions. We also discuss some of the applications of these parametrizations when there are more than three generations of fermions.
