Abstract
The layout of a simple heat-flow calorimeter for the determination of the thermal power of PuBe-neutron sources is described. Using isotopic composition dates for the radioactive material in the sources obtained from γ-spectromctric measurements the mass of 239Pu contained in the PuBe-neutron sources can be determined non-destructively.
