The Philosophy of the Cosmonomic Idea has its origin in the reflection of various Dutch theologians and philosophers at the end of the 19th century and in the first half of the 20th century, whose principle is found in the relationship of Christianity in its integral sense, with the different areas action of social life. He maintains that the Protestant Reformation movement cannot be limited to the ecclesiastical sphere and theological development, but, because of its foundation in the Scriptures, impacts the whole of life. Due to its reformed tradition, the Philosophy of the Cosmonomic Idea has been disseminated and debated in the different Presbyterian denominations of Latin America.
