Abstract

Covalent Organic Frameworks In article number 2205949, Dana Dina Medina, Ralf Thomas Weitz, Timothy Clark and co-workers describe the synthesis of covalent organic frameworks (COFs) based on a thiophene-extended benzotrithiophene (BTT) building block. Oriented thin films of the BTT COFs show room-temperature in-plane electrical conductivity of up to 10−4 S m−1 and a trap-dominated charge transport via a hopping mechanism. Moreover, electrical conductivity of the COF films is directional with a strong preference for the in-plane over the out-of-plane direction.
