Abstract

An analysis was performed and the effective (orientational) stretching for high-speed spinning (HSS) and drawing of POY was estimated. The major possibility of strengthening POY to 60 cN/tex and higher by two-stage drawing, cold in the first stage, and with heating near the temperature of the maximum rate of crystallization in the second, was demonstrated. A hypothesis was advanced concerning the possibility and expediency of introducing this process in industry.
