Abstract
Equation of state and order parameter for a two-dimensional system of hard cyclic hexamers are calculated by the free volume approximation. First order phase transition from high-density “tilted” phase to lower-density “straight” phase is found in qualitative agreement with mechanical simulations performed for N = 169 hard cyclic hexamers.
