Abstract
Abstract By introducing four alkyl chains to quinacridone, the soluble derivatives can be spread as monolayers on water surface and their surface pressure – area isotherms were found to depend significantly on the temperature and the alkyl chain length. Different orientations and packings were realized, depending on the alkyl substituents.
