Abstract

In this article we expose the criteria, aims and means for the development of the priestly formation of a generic way, so that they could use as guidelines or orientations for later concretions in a formative project; this one will have to be made concrete in an educational annual plan and with the help of the proper regulation. The articulation and complexity of the formation for the ministerial priesthood demand that every seminar has an educational concrete project. Every Episcopal Conference elaborates a Plan of Priestly Formation for her territory. The present article focuses on the essential characteristics of the Plan for the Spanish dioceses. In addition, to be able to answer to the needs and human hopes of the historical moment we live, we need to know the general orientations of the society; because of this the socio-cultural characteristics of the current importance are analyzed, where the young people, future priests, are born and live, and where they will exercise his ministry. Also we include a few guidelines for the formative project from the point of view of the healthy pedagogy.
