Abstract
When international students arrive on campus, they encounter an educational system that might be very different than what they are used to. And some struggle to navigate cultural differences in the United States. Just because they have made the decision to study abroad doesn't mean they have a strong skill set to do that, said Karen Tarnoff, Associate Dean of Assessment and International Programs in the College of Business and Technology at East Tennessee State University. Tarnoff explained the International Student Seminar her college created at a session at the Assessment Institute.
