Abstract

Recently, there has been great interest in studying the complications of the novel coronavirus infection COVID-19 in the form of the so-called post-COVID syndrome (long COVID — U09.9). One of the main manifestations of this syndrome is encephalopathy, occurring due to disorders in microcirculation and functioning of the neuronal network, pathways, and synaptic apparatus at the cortical, subcortical and stem levels caused by direct viral invasion, as well as non-specific reactions of cerebral structures to ischemia, hypoxia and viral invasion, determined by the degree of compensatory mechanisms. The purpose of this work is to select possible methods of treating this complication using pharmacotherapy. The tasks are: to study the pathogenesis of this complication; to research literature on the subject of morphological macro- and micro-changes; to review existing treatments; to conduct a study with a control group and analyze the data obtained.
