Abstract
A series of organometallic acetylenes has been prepared containing as substituents both diphenylphosphino and R 3M moieties, where R is either methyl or phenyl, and M is one of the Group IVb metals. These phosphinoacetylenes have been oxidized with both hydrogen peroxide and sulfur to give the corresponding phosphinyl and phosphinothioyl-acetylenes, respectively.
