Abstract
AbstractA highly regioselective organocatalytic chlorosulfonylation reaction for terminal epoxides is developed. The method uses various sulfonyl chloride reagents, such as MsCl or TsCl, and is catalyzed with 4‐methylpyridine N‐oxide. Several sulfonylated halohydrins are obtained with reasonable to high regioselectivity and the reaction is applied to 1,2‐disubstituted epoxides.
