Abstract

1. Dialkylborylamidines, which have a chelate structure or are equilibrium mixtures of a chelate and an open form, have been synthesized from N,N'-disubstituted amidines. 2. N-Dialkylboryl-N,N'-disubstituted amidines are capable of adding to the multiple bonds of aldehydes and isocyanates to form the corresponding six-membered cyclic coordination compounds of boron.
