Abstract

The article raises the issue of teaching financial literacy to primary school students as a component of financial education by parents and teachers through the use of gaming technologies. It has been proven that achieving success in life largely depends on how a person manages resources wisely; globalization leads to the complication of financial markets, the emergence of new financial products and services, therefore, the emergence of new financial products and services, therefore the issue of the low level of financial literacy of the population, and among children as well, becomes urgent. The concept of "financial literacy" is analyzed. It has been established that ensuring financial stability and increasing the welfare of the population is the main component of the consumer protection system, which is reflected in the quality of knowledge of finance. It was revealed that the ability to manage financial flows is not an innate ability of a person, it is an acquired system of ideas, values and habits. The formation of a culture of financial behavior should be implemented at all stages of the child's general secondary education so that the ability to make informed financial decisions becomes an internal basic meaningful voluntary need of the individual. The article proposes a conceptual approach to the organization of teaching financial literacy by means of STEM education as a component of financial education in elementary school; recommendations are given on the use of the LEGO constructor in the classroom; It has been proven that the use of such gaming technologies can improve the perception of the process of teaching financial literacy.
