Abstract

Like other institutions with world-class aspirations, Nazarbayev University, an emerging research university in Kazakhstan, relies heavily on international faculty. As this rapidly growing institution builds its legitimacy, it has to attract, socialize, and retain the best academic talent from around the world. Using a survey design, this study examines the largely understudied phenomena of organizational socialization and job satisfaction of international faculty using the case of Nazarbayev University.
