Abstract

The three experiments presented here were part of a large OBM training program for managers in city government. Although the training program resulted in a total of 19 different managerial products, the three experiments selected for presentation represent the most methodologically sound of all the projects. In contrast to much published literature, these three studies suggest that practicing managers in the public sector can conduct simple, practical, and effective behavioral change projects designed to improve employee performances.
