Abstract

<h3>ACTIONS BY BOARD OF TRUSTEES</h3> The following actions were taken by the Board of Trustees at its meeting in Washington, D. C., on April 8-9, 1956. <h3>Council on Medical Physics</h3> The Board voted to adopt a recommendation from its Committee on Scientific Councils that a Council on Medical Physics be established to carry on activities in the field of apparatus, instruments, and devices. This Council, which replaces the former Council on Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, will be composed of 13 individuals selected from various fields of medicine, chosen because of the special knowledge that they have but not as representatives of specialties. <h3>Committee on Rehabilitation</h3> The establishment of an Intra-Association Committee on Rehabilitation was authorized, to be composed of one representative each from the Council on Medical Service, Council on Medical Education and Hospitals, Council on Mental Health, Council on Industrial Health, Council on Medical Physics, Council on Foods and
