Abstract
The article proves the necessity of ensuring quality education and its accessibility for all segments of the population, for children with special educational needs, in particular. Attention is focused on the organization of psychological assistance, increasing the level of social and psychological support, solving problems that may become obstacles in further adult life, and finding new methods for people with special educational needs during distance education. Examples of the organization of work with students with special educational needs in the Communal Institution "Pokotyliv Lyceum No. 2" of the Kharkiv region are given. The cooperative work of this educational institution with the Information and Resource Center "Without Barriers" of the Scientific and Technical Library of the National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute" was noted. It is emphasized that persons with special educational needs receive high-quality general and professional education is one of the main and integral conditions for their effective socialization, ensuring full participation in society, successful self-realization in various types of professional and social activities.
