Abstract

The article analyzes technical solutions for separate feeding of chickens and roosters of a broiler parent flock with the cage keeping of a broiler breeder flock. It is noted that separate feeding of hens and roosters of meat crosses is adopted as a process standard in the industrial poultry. Failure to comply with this requirement decreases the percentage of fertilized eggs, increases mortality, culling of males and problems with replanting reserve roosters. Installation of a feed distribution system similar to that used for floor keeping eliminates the negative impact that feeding the poultry from the same feeders has. Its application in cage keeping requires changes in the design of the cage battery, which will take full advantage of the separate feeding of hens and males.
