Abstract
Pupils attending secondary specialized training schools in the German Democratic Republic spend the entire third (final) year of training as trainees at enterprises. This period of training is a kind of connecting link between the first two years of training and the future work of the graduates at an enterprise. This period must prepare pupils for their future work.
