Abstract

Geology and natural science museums in most of asia, africa and latin america are neglected and poorly developed in comparison to european and north american museums, despite their unique samples and significant potential. Mineral prospecting and exploitation should be accompanied by surveying and sampling activities. Scientific research can be centred in existing museums, reorganized and centralized. The geominas museum in luanda angola, is cited as an example of reorganization according to the author's ideas.
