Abstract

This paper outlines the reasons for the formation of the solar wind and the enormous impact to Earth. In order to know better about coronal mass ejections’ (CME’s) character and the formation of solar wind, we need to observe it from multi-directions and display it in multi-resolution. Because solar wind data are huge and unevenly distributed, to make the data more suitable for multi-scale representation and improve the efficiency of data display, the pyramid hierarchical block management organization of the solar wind data is indispensable. This paper, based on solar wind data, with LOD technology, proposes appropriate space subdivision model, creates pyramid structure and data index mechanism to achieve levels of details of the solar wind data’s storage, organization, coding and index.
