Abstract

By investigating the role of size in this relationship, the researchers aim to shed light on managing organisational culture and effectiveness. This research begins from a literature review of studies on organisational culture and organisational effectiveness. A seven-point Likert scale questionnaire was developed. After pre-testing using cognitive interview techniques, it was sent to 1,000 managers of forty private sector organisations in Iran using the convenience sampling method. The 353 usable responses were subjected to factor analysis, correlation, regression, and multi regression analysis. Analysis of the data confirmed that there is a relationship between organisational culture and organisational effectiveness. However, this relationship varies according to organisational culture type.
