Abstract
This paper examines the reckonable associations between creativity components, innovation capability and organisational performance and investigates the potential mediating role of innovation capability between the association of creativity component and organisational performances. Grounded over the extensive review of literature, research model is proposed. This model is empirically verified in manufacturing units of Indian public sector operating in the northern region of India. Some of the empirical interpretations are that intrinsic motivation, creativity relevant skills and domain relevant skills facilitate innovation capability and are significantly associated with the performance of investigating units. The prospective mediating effect of innovation capability between the associations of intrinsic motivation on organisational performance is also empirically validated. This paper also identifies that innovation capability partially mediates the impact of creativity relevant skills and domain relevant skills on organisational performance. The findings carry theoretical implications for creativity and innovation literature.
