Abstract
In this paper, the new method for the detection of some organic vapours was attempted by using the resonant frequency and admittance of quartz crystal. Adsorption and desorption behavior of organic vapour for sensitive materials, that is ultra-thin LB films, was investigated by using QCA(Quartz Crystal Analyzer). It is confirmed that the resonant admittance shift of quartz crystal occurred due to the penetration of organic vapour into sensitive material. Also, we used the F-A(resonant frequency esonant admittance) diagram to analyze the mechanism between organic vapours and sensitive materials. Different response mechanisms of organic vapours for sensitive LB film were observed. In our experimental results, we can consider the resonant admittance and frequency of quartz crystal simultaneously. Thus the new gas sensing system and analytical method to investigate mechanism between organic vapours and sensitive materials will be obtained.
