Abstract
Even with the application of additional Chemicals to counteract the seasonal changes in raw water characteristics, the City of Ithaca Water Plant still experienced unsatisfactory filtered‐water turbidities. After a program of analysis and experimentation, a combination of several polymers was found that allowed the production of filtered water of exceptionally high quality, regardless of the character of the incoming raw water.
