Abstract
The experiments were carried ut on three Aloe species. In all Aloe species the best making roots substrate was perlite, the root making time interval and viability percent being different function of specie, but always superior when shoots were placed in perlite.
The results obtained in Aloe ferox specie emphasize that this specie made roost faster, by all three substrates, even the shoots used for roots making had less vigour compared to those from other two Aloe species.
In average by all three substrates, we found that Aloe ferox and Aloe vera made roots faster, compared to Aloe arborescens, maybe because these are slightly lignified at their basis. The same tendency was reported concerning viability percents, the best results being recorded in Aloe ferox and Aloe vera species.
