Abstract

Organic–inorganic hybrid halide perovskites have received extensive attention in the photovoltaic research community due to its remarkable optoelectronic properties, such as high carrier mobility, tunable band gap, long diffusion lengths and long lifetime. In this section, we summarized the understanding of perovskite materials and devices from the perspective of crystal structure, optoelectronic property, device working mechanism, as well as the progress of the solar cells. The origin associated to its superior optoelectronic property is discussed, which lead to a rational design for advanced optoelectronic devices based on perovskite materials.
