Abstract

The study was conducted to assess the growth, yield and quality of pea under different fertilizer amendments. the results of the growth and yield attributing characters, viz., seed per pod (7.58), seed per plant (52.75), shelling % (50.33%), fresh biomass (33.58 g), dry biomass (10.59 g), pod yield per plant (40.88 g) and pod yield per hectare (9.20 t ha−1) were significantly highest in T3. while plant height (56.25 cm) and pod per plant (7.13) were highest in t2. Similarly, t2 also recorded the highest quality characters, viz., tSS (14.63 oBrix), crude protein (22.06%), ash content (3.70%), ascorbic acid (9.52 mg 100g−1 Fw) and β-carotene (274.24 μg g−1 Fw). Number of branch, days to 50% flowering, pod length and pod diameter were found non-significant. The economics analysis indicated that T2 gave maximum benefit cost ratio of 3.50.
