Abstract

Combined liver-spleen and kidney scans afford a differential diagnosis of Wilms' tumor, neuroblastoma, and hepatoma and frequently make possible the diagnosis of more uncommon tumors and of metastatic tumors. Multiple-organ scans are of considerable help in the workup of the child with an upper abdominal mass where speed is essential and where preradiograph preparation may be time consuming as well as inefficient.
